POV: Your ninth grade internship at the Institut Pasteur!

For a week, our 60 schoolchildren dived right into the heart of scientific research.
Accompanied by our teams, they explored biosafety laboratories, discovered the fablab and its rapid prototyping tools, and even took part in a climate workshop.
In the enteric pathogen bacteria lab, Robin and Ambre learned how microbes like salmonella or E. coli, which can become resistant to antibiotics, are monitored.
At the fablab, they discovered how 3D printing and laser cutting help researchers innovate faster.
In laboratories P2 and P3, they handled under safe conditions and understood the essential measures for working with infectious agents.
With the climate mural, they reflected on the links between the environment and human health.
Finally, time for creativity! By creating their own scientific posters, they put the infectious diseases they had studied into images.
It all ended with a well-deserved moment of relaxation: snacks and table soccer!
A big THANK YOU to Robin, Ambre, Lise, Estelle, Sylvie, Nolan, Christelle, Elisabeth, Jean-Marc, Iris, François-Xavier, Maxime, Eric, Maëva and Charlotte for their participation and enthusiasm!
