A look back at the Wikipedia "éditathon"

International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2025 - A look back at the Wikipedia editorial marathon at the Institut Pasteur.
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is an opportunity to shine the spotlight on women researchers who have left their mark on science. Yet their online presence, particularly on Wikipedia, remains insufficient: less than 20% of biographies on Wikipedia concern women.
That's why, on February 7, the Institut Pasteur organized a Wikipedia "éditathon" in collaboration with the association les sans pagEs, a collective working to reduce gender inequalities in online content.
With the help of the Centre de ressources en information scientifique (CeRIS), this collaborative workshop created, translated and enriched Wikipedia pages dedicated to women scientists who have contributed to Pasteur research.
Here's a look back at this initiative.
