Pasteur-Cnam-EHESP School of Public Health

The Institut Pasteur and the Cnam (National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts), in partnership with the EHESP (French School of Public Health), have combined their complementary expertise within the Pasteur-Cnam-EHESP School of Public Health to offer an Advanced Master degree - Mastère Spécialisé in Public Health.

The health crisis caused by COVID-19 reminded us of the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to population health issues. This is precisely what the Advanced Master degree program - Mastère Spécialisé at the Pasteur-Cnam-EHESP School of Public Health offers.

The program includes:

  • A core curriculum, consisting of 5 modules, from October to December of the following year, covering the fundamental subjects of public health:
    • Epidemiology (coordinator: Arnaud Fontanet)
    • Health security (coordinator: Laura Témime)
    • Biostatistics (coordinator: Ndèye Niang-Keita)
    • Key principles and current practices in global health (coordinator: Stéphane Besançon)
    • Social sciences and health (coordinators: Aymery Constant and Laurence Hartmann)
  • Among these themes, students can choose their specialization in global health (from January to May): infectious risks; risks, environment, work, and chronic diseases; biostatistics and bioinformatics; health policy design and management.
  • An internship from May/June to November.
  • A thesis and defense in December.

The "Epidemiology" module courses are organized at the Institut Pasteur, within the framework of the courses of the Epidemiology and Public Health Division and the Microorganism Biology Division of the Education Center. The following courses are offered:

As part of the new Strategic Plan "Pasteur 2030", starting in September 2024, the following new courses are added:

The Advanced Master degree - Mastère Spécialisé in Public Health is a Level 1 diploma accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. It is aimed at a broad audience of individuals holding a Master's degree (bac +5) from various fields or a Bachelor's degree (bac +4) with professional experience in public health: doctors, veterinarians, pharmacists, biologists, members of health agencies, NGO and/or international organization staff, development specialists, personnel from the agri-food and pharmaceutical industries, chemists, local government agents, public health engineers, geographers, hospital administrators, economists, sociologists, professionals, or students nearing the end of their studies.

* The courses Creation and management of databases, Introductory course to R software and Modeling of infectious diseases are also course units in the Emerging Infectious Diseases  program of the Master’s in molecular and cellular biology at the Graduate School One Health - Emerging Infectious Diseases at UPCité.
