Internships and Pre-Doctoral Programs

The pre-doctoral program is part of the fundamental missions of the Institut Pasteur, which include research, education, public health, and innovation. Several programs of interest are offered according to the category of students involved, such as the observation week for 7th-grade students, laboratory immersion for middle and high school students in the "Apprentis-chercheurs" program, the Erasmus+, Amgen Scholars and EUGLOH internship programs, as well as Graduate School programs in partnership with UPCité, Sorbonne University, and EnvA.

The goals set by the program team are to spark curiosity among students by guiding them as they engage with the world of research, new learning methods, exposure to high-tech platforms, virtual classes such as MOOCs, and by meeting other students who have taken different paths and come from various countries or educational institutions.

We also believe it is important to foster a sense of community among students, along with a sense of intuition for their future and career-related decisions, and to help them take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Institut Pasteur for further studies at the Master’s or doctoral level.

This proactive approach to support will benefit them once their initial apprehension about joining a prestigious institution diminishes, allowing them to begin envisioning the possibility of a scientific career.

The program relies on the participation of the administrative and scientific staff at the Institut Pasteur, which includes researchers, postdocs, doctoral students, and assistants. Regardless of the duration of their internships, whether one week or six months for Master’s projects, the students will interact with a dedicated and enthusiastic staff focused on research and education, who will be eager to share their knowledge and experiences.
