Le 47ème Conseil des Directeurs a réuni les Directeurs des instituts du Réseau International des Instituts Pasteur (RIIP), la Présidente du Conseil d'Administration, les Directeurs de l'Institut Pasteur à Paris, l'équipe de la Direction Internationale et les responsables des Centres Transversaux de Recherche, du 18 au 20 mars au Château des Ravatys qui fut légué à l’Institut Pasteur en 1937 par Mathilde Courbe.

The 47th Council of Directors gathered the Directors from the institutes of the Institut Pasteur International Network (RIIP), the Chairman of the Board, the Directors of the Institut Pasteur in Paris, the team of the Department of International Affairs and the heads of the Transversal Research Centers, from 18-20 March at the Château des Ravatys, which was bequeathed to the Institut Pasteur in 1937 by Mathilde Courbe.

A l’occasion de la première visite du Directeur de l’Institut Pasteur depuis 40 ans, une haie d’honneur a accueilli Christian Bréchot et Marc Jouan à leur arrivée sur le campus de l’Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire.

Scientists have succeeded in restoring normal activity in cells isolated from patients with the premature aging disease Cockayne syndrome. They have uncovered the role played in these cells by an enzyme, the HTRA3 protease. This enzyme is overexpressed in Cockayne syndrome patient cells, and leads to mitochondrial defects, which in turn play a crucial role in the appearance of symptoms leading to aging in affected children.

Des chercheurs sont parvenus à rétablir une activité normale dans des cellules issues de patients atteints d’un syndrome de vieillissement précoce, le syndrome de Cockayne. Ils ont découvert l’implication dans cette pathologie d’une enzyme, la protéase HTRA3. Surexprimée chez les patients, elle engendre un dysfonctionnement des mitochondries, qui jouent un rôle clé dans l’apparition des symptômes de vieillissement chez les enfants.

The Institut Pasteur, a private non-profit international biomedical research center based in Paris (France), and Stragen, privately-owned, international healthcare company based in Geneva (Switzerland), announced today that they have entered together into an exclusive worldwide license for intellectual property, related to derivatives of endogenous dual enkephalinase inhibitor (DENKI) novel compounds for pain management.

L’Institut Pasteur, centre international de recherche biomédicale privé à but non lucratif basé à Paris (France), et Stragen, groupe privé du secteur de la santé installé à Genève (Suisse), ont annoncé aujourd’hui la signature d’un accord de licence mondiale exclusive de propriété intellectuelle liée à des dérivés de composés inédits, inhibiteurs doubles des enképhalinases (DENKI) endogènes, pour le traitement de la douleur.
