The annual Institut Pasteur International Network Directors’s Council closed on Friday 22^nd  September in Abidjan in the presence of Christian Vigouroux, Chairman of the Institut Pasteur’s Board of Directors. During the 3 days of the meeting, representatives of the 33 member institutes were able to take stock of the main axes of development such as the scientific strategy of the network, ethics, communication, partnerships or research applications.

The scientific day of the 49^th Institut Pasteur International Network Directors’ council closed with the presentation of the "Pasteur International Talent" awards by Prof. Christian Bréchot to Drs Anubis Vega Rua and Felipe Trajtenberg. The "Pasteur International Talent" awards, worth € 10,000 each, aims to recognize and support the career development of researchers with high potential within the lnternational Network.

La journée scientifique de la 49^ème Réunion des Directeurs du Réseau international des instituts Pasteur s’est clôturée par la remise des prix « Pasteur International Talent » par le Pr. Christian Bréchot aux Drs Anubis Vega Rua et Felipe Trajtenberg. D’un montant de 10 000 €, le prix« Pasteur International Talent » vise à reconnaître et soutenir stimuler le développement de carrière pour les chercheurs à fort potentiel au sein du Réseau international.

On the occasion of the Scientific Day of the 49^th Institut Pasteur International Network Directors’ Council, Prof. Ramata Ly-Bakayoko, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Côte d'Ivoire, Prof. Françoise Barré- Sinoussi and Prof. Christian Bréchot awarded Dr. Richard Njouom with the Dedonder-Clayton 2017 Prize.

A l’occasion de la journée scientifique de la 49^ème Réunion des Directeurs du Réseau International des instituts Pasteur, le Pr. Ramata Ly-Bakayoko, Ministre de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique de Côte d’Ivoire, Pr Françoise Barré-Sinoussi et Pr. Christian Bréchot ont remis le prix Dedonder-Clayton 2017 au Dr Richard Njouom.

Depuis sa création en 1972, l’Institut Pasteur de Côte d’Ivoire est un des piliers de la recherche et de la santé publique du pays et de la région. Au cours des 10 dernières années, l’institut a amorcé un virage technologique de grande ampleur pour devenir aujourd’hui un des établissements les plus en pointe de l’Afrique de l’ouest. Since its creation in 1972, the Institut Pasteur in Côte d'Ivoire is one of the pillars of research and public health in the country and the region.
