For three days, worldwide specialists shared their views about the pandemic during a congress hosted by the Institut Pasteur. Their contributions are to be found online.
From Wednesday, September 29th to Thursday, October 1st the international conference "COVID-19, Advances and Remaining Challenges" was held at the Institut Pasteur and broadcast live online. These three days were an opportunity for experts coming from research centers all over the world to take stock of the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Speakers' presentations are now available online.
During the conference, the scientists spoke about the following subjects
- Virus evolution and perspectives
- Viral entry and replication/neutralisation
- Viral persistence and long COVID
- Patient management and future treatments
- Evaluation of impact of interventions
- Children and SARS-CoV-2 transmission and control
- Vaccine regimens and effectiveness
- Why and how should we get the planet vaccinated?
The event, under the High Patronage of Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, was introduced by Stewart Cole, CEO of the Institut Pasteur, in presence of Claire Giry, Director General for Research and Innovation. The event was closed by Olivier Véran, French Minister of Solidarity and Health.
