Uruguayan medical Doctor and Doctor es Sciences specialysed in Human biology at the French University of Pierre et Marie Curie, Guillermo Dighiero was Top Degree Research Director at CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) and head of the Department of Pathophysiology in the Institut Pasteur in Paris until 2004. He is member, of French National Academy of Medicine, French Academy of Sciences, President of the French Group for the Study of Chronic lymphocytic leukemia and member of the National Academy of Sciences in Uruguay.
Dr Dighiero is behind the founding in 2006 of the Institut Pasteur in Montevideo, he was its Director until 2010 and President of the Board of Directors until today.
