After a first successful edition in 2022, Pasteur Innov’ Day will be back at the Institut Pasteur Conference Center on June 25, 2024 from 2 p.m to 6 p.m (followed by a drinks reception). This year’s goal is the same as last year : to demonstrate the potential of the Institut Pasteur's research and innovation continuum to industry players in the health sector (from startups and mid-caps to major corporations).
The aim is to showcase the depth and complementarity of expertise in the Carnot-certified Institut Pasteur's research units and technology core facilities. For this latest edition, a pitch competition aimed exclusively at the Institut Pasteur’s PhD students and postdoctoral fellows will also shine a light on our young talent.
A packed and varied program awaits you in the Conference Center’s three areas:
- in the auditorium : two round tables (in French) led by the Editor-in-Chief of Pharmaceutiques Hervé Requillart, and a pitch competition (in English).
- 2:00 p.m - 2:15 p.m
Introduction : Isabelle Buckle, Executive VP, Technology Transfer & Industrial Partnerships
"The Institut Pasteur, a research accelerator"
How the Institut Pasteur has drawn on its history and the Pasteur Network, the international network of Instituts Pasteur, to help shape health innovation.
- 2:15 p.m - 3:15 p.m
Round table 1
"Collaborating to succeed: proof-based examples"
How can we promote collaboration between academic teams, startups, biotechs and industrial groups to deliver successful research projects? How do we pull the right levers to fund these projects? What "win-win" agreements can be crafted to "unleash" open innovation?
With:
Franck Mouthon, CEO of the Agency for health research programs
Laurent Arthaud, Managing Partner Bpifrance Investissement and Chairman of Argobio
Ouissale BERG, Commercial Director South of Europe, Life science solutions, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Catherine Martre, CEO of Meletios Therapeutics
Damien Chopy, Senior Director Business Development, Roche Pharma Partnering
- 3:15 p.m - 4:00 p.m
Pitch competition – Session 1 : PhD students
- 4:00 p.m - 4:45 p.m
Round table 2
"Supporting our young talent to prepare for the future of health innovation"
Detecting talent, winning loyalty, backing projects, fostering enterprising spirit… The Institut Pasteur supports the efforts of talented individuals because they are the future of health innovation. How can we help them promote their skills to industry players? How do we train them in innovation to get it to market? Several scientists who trained at the Institut Pasteur and moved to industry share their experience and illustrate the breadth and diversity of careers in innovation.
With :
Monica Sala, VP of Education, Institut Pasteur
Mariana Mesel-Lemoine, VP of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Head of the Career Development Department – CARE, Institut Pasteur
Renaud Jonquières, Senior Vice President – Head of Transformation Office, BioMérieux
Mathieu Prieto, Talent Acquisition Manager, L’Oréal
André Choulika, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer & Director, Cellectis
- 4:45 p.m - 5:10 p.m
